Jerri Hudson Named October Employee of the Month
We are pleased to announce Jerri Hudson, RN, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Administrator in the Information Services department, as our October Employee of the Month. Jerri began working for Memorial in July 1993 and has been named as Employee of the Month twice during her career at Memorial.
According to her winning nomination, “In the past several months Jerri has gone above and beyond in her dedication to lead our doctors and staff through the new discharge process. Jerri maintained a positive attitude, encouraged, and patiently built the trust of those doctors who were new to CPOE. Jerri made sure those who needed her could reach her no matter what time of the day — the personal hours she gave to the CPOE project were outstanding. Her dedication to Memorial Healthcare is great!”
Jerri attended Mott Community College and Baker College, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in health administration. She is also a member of the Who’s Who of American Colleges and University. “I live by the belief that you should be the best you can be in all aspects of your life—it is a reflection of yourself.”
Jerri and her husband of 28 years, Edward, reside in Owosso. They have three grown children, son, Aaron, daughter Katie, and daughter, Courtney, who recently married Joe Martinez. In her spare time Jerri enjoys walking, reading and baking and is a super user for evidence-based order sets.
“My goal is to bring all physicians live in computer charting and I would like to be remembered as someone who made a difference.”
When asked how she felt about being recognized as Employee of the Month Jerri stated, “Memorial is all about teamwork. Without each individual person doing their part, we could not be the great organization that we are.”
