Memorial Foundation Awards Grant for Volunteer Services
Owosso, MI —Memorial Healthcare Foundation recently awarded Memorial Healthcare’s Volunteer Services program a grant of $9,999 for a Courtesy Shuttle.
Volunteer Services provides courtesy car and valet services for patients and visitors, as well as courier services between the hospital and the Medical Arts Building. This includes transporting lab tests, paperwork and other confidential information related to patient care. The car supports the mission, vision and values of Memorial Healthcare by providing a safe, comfortable and reliable ride for patients and visitors.
“This car fulfills a critical need for the patients of Memorial Healthcare” said Sharon Hannen, Volunteer Coordinator. “Safety is our utmost concern, and a safe reliable form of transportation to and from the parking lots and the Medical Arts Building is at the top of our list. The car, a Pontiac Torrent, will be provide a warm, safe, comfortable environment for our patients during the winter months.”
