The Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary will host its fifth annual 5K Run/Walk event on Saturday, April 21. This unique fundraising event, Steps for Courage, is being coordinated by members of the Auxiliary. All proceeds from the event will go toward the Memorial Healthcare Foundation Cancer Care Fund in support of cancer care services at Memorial Healthcare.

The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. starting from the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center. Walkers will begin at 9:35 a.m. Prizes will be given to the top two places in all age groups. An award will also be given to Overall and Masters in the Male and Female categories for runners and walkers.

Registration for the event is $18 per person for runners and walkers if received by April 13 and includes a race jersey. Registration is $25 per person after that date and on race day (jersey not guaranteed for late and race-day registration). A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available for any individual or business wishing to participate. Early packet pickup available on Friday, April 20 between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center. Race-day check-in and registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Cancer Center.

A Spring Sprint event for children ages 2 through 7 will also be held on the same day as the 5K Run/Walk. The Spring Sprint is a 50-yard dash and pre-registration is required.
