Memorial Healthcare is pleased to announce Joelle McGuire, LMSW, a Social Worker in our Hospice Department, has been selected as our March Employee of the Month. Joelle has been an employee of Memorial Healthcare since October 1994.
According to her winning nomination, “Joelle is and has been an outstanding asset to our team for the past 27 years. On top of her normal everyday work duties, she takes time to counsel staff in times of crisis, sets up Christmas families each year for the community and always supports local community events. Joelle is an amazing listener, someone who will bend over backwards to find solutions in a tough situation and is the true backbone of our department.”
Joelle lives in Byron with her husband, Patrick, is the proud mother of daughter, Reilly, son, Aidan and loving grandmother to Dakota. She enjoys camping, reading, traveling and going with friends for “Girl’s Night Out”. An interesting fact about Joelle is, she was crowned Owosso Ice Queen in 2017 and raised funds for Memorial Healthcare’s Hospice program. A special achievement of Joelle’s is she received the Joan Mack Award and was Memorial Healthcare’s Employee of the Month twice. Her goals and dreams are to one day travel with her husband to Hawaii and Alaska because they are the only states he hasn’t been to. Joelle’s personal outlook is, “Work hard. Make time for fun. Laugh loud and often and to be kind.”
Joelle is quoted on being honored as Employee of the Month, “I am proud of my work at Memorial Healthcare. I am part of an excellent team of nurses, social workers, aides, therapists, office staff and leaders. We all work hard everyday to serve our community and I am honored to have my efforts recognized as Employee of the Month. Thank you!”
