Tuesday, January 4 (2022) – Owosso – Memorial Healthcare is pleased to welcome Neurologist, Dustin Nowacek, MD and Family Nurse Practitioner, Latoya Newton to our active medical staff.
Dr. Nowacek is a triple board certified physician who specializes in neuromuscular diseases. His Board Certifications include Neurology, Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Neuromuscular Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System.
Dr. Nowacek was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Michigan Medical School/Michigan Medicine. He has served as the Medical Director of the Adult Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), the Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) and the Veteran Affairs (VA) ALS Multidisciplinary Clinics located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Latoya is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in providing direct patient care to patients with neurology related conditions and injuries. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University with the focus on a family nurse practitioner program.
Latoya joins Memorial Healthcare from Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse in the Neuro-Step-Down Intermediate Care unit.

Latoya will be practicing at our Saginaw location and Dr. Nowacek will be practicing in Owosso and Saginaw. They are currently accepting new patients with most insurances.
