Foundation Opens Senior Scholarship Applications

February 22, 2017

Memorial Healthcare Foundation will be offering three scholarships to area high school seniors who are going to pursue a degree leading to a career in health care.

The $1,000 scholarships are being offered to seniors who attend high schools or are home-schooled within the Memorial Healthcare service area.  Applicants must be pursuing enrollment in a health care related program at an accredited education institution.  Both Associate and Bachelor Degree programs are considered.  Applications for the Senior Scholarship can be downloaded here or may be accessed by calling 989-729-4675, or from Guidance Offices at area high schools.

The criteria for selection of recipients include academic performance, community and school involvement, special skills and interests, an essay on personal goals and aspirations and a personal interview.  The selection process is without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or financial need.

Applications are due March 24, 2017. Applicants will be notified by early May as to whether or not they have been selected to receive the scholarship.
