The Annual Peggy Gulick Nursing Scholarship was established in honor of Peggy Gulick, former President & CEO of Memorial, for her many years of dedication and commitment to the nursing profession and Memorial Healthcare.
“The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage deserving applicants to pursue studies in the field of nursing and to encourage these individuals to seek employment at Memorial Healthcare upon graduation,” says Matt Hufnagel, Executive Director, and Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
This $2,500 scholarship is awarded to assist with tuition and book expenses and is paid directly to the educational institution.

High School Senior Scholarship
In 2017, Memorial Healthcare Foundation will be offering three scholarships to area high school seniors who are going to pursue a degree leading to a career in health care.
The $1,000 scholarships are being offered to seniors who attend high schools or are home-schooled within the Memorial Healthcare service area. Applicants must be pursuing enrollment in a health care related program at an accredited education institution. Both Associate and Bachelor Degree programs are considered. Applications for the Senior Scholarship can be downloaded here or may be accessed by calling 989-729-4675, or from Guidance Offices at area high schools.
The criteria for selection of recipients include academic performance, community and school involvement, special skills and interests, an essay on personal goals and aspirations and a personal interview. The selection process is without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or financial need.
