Welcome to Memorial Healthcare Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation! Drs. Ashraf Elbanna, Ramy Kurdi, and Certified Physician Assistants Derrick Jauss and Chelsea Baker, are pleased to provide you with the most up-to-date orthopedic and sports medicine treatment and surgical options.

  • Dr. Elbanna earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in orthopedics from Henry Ford Hospital. He is fellowship trained by the Cleveland Clinic and has worked with national sports teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, University of Notre Dame, and Marygrove College.

  • Dr. Kurdi earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency through Michigan State University at McLaren-Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI. Dr. Kurdi’s training includes orthopedic trauma surgery, pediatric orthopedics, total joint reconstruction, and sports medicine. Dr. Kurdi is also an active member of the NFL-Players Association Mackey-White Health & Safety Committee.

  • Derrick Jauss, PA-C, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Adrian College and his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University. Derrick serves as surgical first assist with Dr. Kurdi.

  • Chelsea Baker, PA-C, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Care, Health and Society from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University. Chelsea serves under the guidance surgically of Dr. Elbanna.

Orthopedic services are supported by the latest diagnostic imaging, CT-Scan and MRI technology. Surgery is performed utilizing traditional and advanced, minimally invasive techniques. The credentials and experience of these surgeons allows Memorial to offer some of the most sophisticated medical procedures in the world.
