Memorial Healthcare To Offer Annual Sports Injury ClinicAugust 9, 2021
Monday, August 9 (2021) – Owosso – Dr. Ashraf Elbanna and Chelsea Baker, PA-C, from Memorial Healthcare Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation are hosting a sports injury clinic to access orthopedic sports injuries for adolescent and high school athletes, beginning Monday, August 16 and concluding October 18, 2021. There will be no appointments necessary on Monday’s and if an injury arises Tuesday through Thursday, please call the office for expedited scheduling.
Our clinic provides specialized orthopedic sports medicine care to student athletes with acute sports injuries. We have the ability to obtain x-rays in office, for immediate review. In collaboration with our Radiology Department, we are able to guarantee an MRI, CT scan or further imaging needs within 72 of your appointment, pending insurance authorization. This structure also offers treatment at a much more cost-effective rate than an emergency department visit for those less serious injuries.
“We are excited to continue this offer of service to the community in 2021,” says Ashraf Elbanna, MD, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine surgeon. “One of my top priorities is keeping athletes healthy by not only treating injuries that occur in an expedited fashion, but also by providing the tools needed to reduce the risk of injury. We look forward to treating our student athletes and getting them back to their desired sports,” says Dr. Elbanna.
Athletes will be seen on a walk-in basis, on Monday’s from 9:00am – 3:30pm at Memorial Healthcare Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation located on the Main Campus, 818 W. King Street, Lower Level, Owosso. Parental consent is required before treatment and fees are applied with insurance being billed.
