National Activity Professionals’ Week is celebrated January 21 – 27, 2018. This week traditionally held during the fourth week in January, is to honor the Activity Professionals who continuously share their talents, creativity, spirit, enthusiasm, energy, love and compassion. Activity Professionals play a significant role in enriching the lives of the elderly and those they serve. This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Passion.”
- “The definition of people is human beings making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest, and the National Association of Activity Professionals brings us all closer together.
- “The definition of purpose is the reason for which anything is done, created, or exists. The activity profession is constantly changing, especially with the federal regulations and the Activity Critical Element Pathway. The one thing that never changes is our love and dedication for our fellow activity professionals.
- “The definition of passion is any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love. The National Association of Activity Professionals is honored and privileged to share the love for you and your residents in your community.”
