About Dr. Joseph Testa, DO, FACS, FACOS
Dr. Testa earned his Medical Degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a General Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Shortly after residency, he joined Henry Ford Macomb as a core faculty member for the general surgery residency teaching program and holds the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University and Central Michigan University medical schools. He also sits on the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery oral board examination committee. Dr. Testa has special interests in Robotic/Laparoscopic Surgery, Oncological Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Traumatic/Wound Surgery, and Medical Education. He has been inducted as a fellow in both the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Testa went above and beyond to listen to me. He asked me what I wanted to do?? That's a question that no Dr had asked me before instead they were trying to force me to get a feeding tube that hasn't worked in the past. Dr chose to put me back on my medications and found me a Dr to take over for my care because I don't need a feeding tube but he didn't want to leave me helpless. He made phone calls while I was there and didn't let me leave the office without a great plan in action for the future. All around he's an amazing Dr.

I mean so far this is my first time here and I've have never been treated with more respect, concern, and strait up answers. Which I'd rather have than beating around the bush. Nothing irritates me more than a doctor sugar coating something. I want to know up front what I am looking at and that is exactly what I got. Game plan and all. And most importantly, I had nothing, no-one, (doctor wise) Dr. Testa set me up with everyone. I was getting phone calls daily since my visit of appointments of my next steps. It was amazing.
