MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS & PARKINSON'S EXERCISE
A low-impact exercise program specifically geared for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson's Disease. Group meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. or from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $35 per month. Each class is designed specifically for the functioning level of the participant. BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
The NEW breast cancer support group now meets on the first Monday of each month at the Memorial Healthcare Comprehensive Cancer Center. This group is specifically for women who have had a diagnosis of cancer at some point in their lives including those undergoing treatment therapies. Support persons are welcome to attend this open, informative group. The group meets in the Community Room at the Cancer Center (721 N. Shiawassee Street, Owosso). LIFE GOES ON - CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
"Life Goes On" is presented by the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center and your American Cancer Society. This is part of an educational program for people facing cancer—either personally, or as a friend or family caregiver—provided in a supportive environment. It is designed to help participants with selected aspects of their cancer experience by increasing their knowledge, positive attitudes, and skills.
This meeting will include an informational segment that will help facilitate future meetings based on the needs of the group members. This group meets the first Monday of each month from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. The content of the class will include education, social activities and guest speakers based on group needs. The meeting is held in the Community Room at Memorial’s Medical Arts Building, located at 721 N. Shiawassee Street, Owosso.Participants do not need a physician referral, but for planning purposes, please pre-register by calling Becky Nickels at (989) 729-4786.
LOOK GOOD...FEEL BETTER - FOR WOMEN WITH CANCER
This program provides personal care and make-up sessions for women receiving treatment for cancer. Offered through the American Cancer Society, the Look Good...Feel Better program is facilitated by licensed cosmetologists. All services and a complete make-up kit valued at $350 are provided free of charge. This program meets at the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center in the Community Room at 721 N. Shiawassee, Owosso.
