Memorial Healthcare honored their employees by holding the 53rd annual Employee Awards Banquet on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the D’Mar Banquet & Conference Center. This event was held to honor this year’s employee award recipients and to recognize employees for their years of service in 5 year increments ranging from five to 45 years.
Tony Young, Chairman, Memorial Healthcare Board of Trustees, opened the event with a few words to the more than 200 employees in attendance about his appreciation to the employees for their continued commitment and service to Memorial Healthcare.
“Congratulations on your recognition tonight as you celebrate a significant anniversary of your employment at Memorial Healthcare,” Young said. “Clearly, reaching this milestone is a very special occasion for you. It is also a very special occasion for us since it is a testimony of your loyalty to Memorial Healthcare over the years.” “I want to thank each and every one of the more than 1,100 Memorial Healthcare employees and providers for their hard work and commitment.”
The banquet featured an evening of dinner and music where every employee could spend time with their guests and enjoy the event. After dinner, the evening continued with the master of ceremonies, Jim Nemeth, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer, who recognized employees celebrating their years of service ranging from five to 25 years.
Later, Brian Long, FACHE, President and CEO of Memorial Healthcare individually honored employees with 30 to 45 years of service.
“I wish to extend my personal congratulations to these individuals for reaching this level of service milestone with Memorial Healthcare,” Long said. “Your loyalty, professionalism and commitment to the success of Memorial Healthcare and our patients does not go unnoticed,” “Thank you for your hard work and much dedication!”
The annual event also included recognizing employees who were honored during the National Hospital and Nurses Week ceremony. Employees honored were:
- 2018 Nurse of the Year – Robin Cannon, Emergency Department
- 2017 Employee of the Year – Theresa Mills, Production in the Food and Nutrition Department
- 2018 President’s Award – Kristy Brown, Pre-Access Coordinator in the Call Center
- 2018 Patient Care Tech of the Year – Tyler Luznak, 2-North
- 2017 Good Safety Catch of the Year – Chelsea Bebiak, RN, Operating Room
The evening concluded with closing remarks from Brian Long, FACHE, President and CEO who stated, “You are a valued member of our team and your continued contributions are vital for Memorial Healthcare to continue to be successful in meeting our Mission, Vision and Values,” “Thank you for your hard work and much dedication,” “I look forward to your ongoing contributions and a bright and successful future together.”
