Expanding Our Orthopedic Expertise

In 2016, we welcomed Dr. Ashraf Elbanna to Memorial Healthcare Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Elbanna comes to us from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, but was born and raised in Fraser, Michigan. Dr. Elbanna started his education at the University of Michigan, and went on to receive his Medical Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine. His addition brings his adroit orthopedic surgery abilities to Memorial Healthcare. His areas of expertise cover a wide spectrum, helping Memorial Healthcare become far more robust in orthopedic services. And Dr. Elbanna holds a beautiful reason why he’s committed to orthopedic surgery. “I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, even as a child,” he says. “Orthopedic surgery allows patients to return to the activities that they love doing, whether it’s high-level athletics, or walking to the mailbox without pain. There’s an immediate, dramatic impact and I wanted to be a part of it.”

Memorial Joint Academy Experience

Memorial offers joint replacement patients with a pre-surgery Joint Academy experience. Patients participate in a one-time session to learn valuable information about how to prepare for surgery and how to have a successful and effective recovery after surgery. Plan to attend an upcoming Joint Academy session and learn about how you can have the best joint replacement or repair experience.
