What Is Urgent Care?
Typically, a medical condition is deemed urgent if it is not an emergency but still requires care within 24 hours. Memorial Healthcare’s urgent care locations are available to treat minor illnesses and injuries that happen when the doctor’s office is closed. Conditions that can be treated at an urgent care center include:
- Abrasions, cuts, and bruises
- Allergies
- Broken bones
- Colds, cough, flu, and sore throats
- Ear, eye, and skin infections
- Fevers
- Headaches or dizziness
- Minor asthma attacks
- Minor burns
- Minor eye or ear injures
- Minor wounds, requiring stitches
- Sprains or strains
- Urinary tract infections (UTI)
- Worker’s compensation injury assessment or follow up
